More Greenery, Please!

As we all know, when it comes to weddings, details are everything. Incorporating nature’s natural hues is one of the biggest trends we’ve seen in 2019. From deep forest greens to soft sage, these Earth-y elements really bring life to the celebrations. Are we in a forest or at a wedding ceremony? We don’t know but we are definitely here for it!

Rustic Hues

It seems as though every wedding season as a trending color palette - this year is no exception. This year the color obsession goes to…. Orange hues! While the color palette ranges from a soft coral to a rustic orange, it’s no doubt that these tones really add to the mood of the wedding. And for all you fall lovers out there, we can definitely expect to see the deeper tones (like burnt orange and rust) heading into sweater weather wedding season. We’re not complaining!

Non-traditional Wedding Cakes

When we think of a traditional wedding cake, our minds tend to float to those with frosted flowers and the bride and groom figurines resting on top (or maybe we’re watching too many rom-coms). In the past few wedding seasons, we’ve definitely noticed a trend to steer away from tradition! If you’re on Pinterest, you know the photos - the naked wedding cakes that appear as though they required almost no effort at all, yet we know if we tried it at home it’d be a crumpled mess? Or the cakes that are made of inky black fondue, both dark and mysterious and probably equally as messy. Clearly, we are huge foodies over here and will not object to any trends as long as we can hit the dessert table later.

Cue Meghan Markle

With the royal wedding still the latest buzz of last spring, there was no doubt that brides would steal some inspo from probably the most talked about wedding ceremonies in the world. Lucky for us, Meghan Markle had some killer style and left us with some great options to play with. She kept it simple and elegant, and left all of us watching from our couch wearing an old pair of sweats just slightly envious. So, grab those long veils and even a tiara - because when you find your own prince, you might as well act like a princess!
